What Does Cynosure Mean

We often get asked what the company name means. On old sailing charts, you will sometimes see the North Star referred to as Cynosure. Since the company founder enjoys sailing, and has been out on Lake Ontario at night, using the North Star for guidance home, the name seemed appropriate to indicate that the company could provide steady, sure, long-term guidance.
